Need a fair amount of hammerite anti rust primer. They only appear to be sold in small aerosole cans. Anyone now where you can buy it in bulk? or where I can get a similar product in bulk?

TA.

Why not Naval Jelly it and Hammerite on top of that? As Hammerite doesn't need a primer.

As I want A half decent finish... And resnable long lasting protection.. It is for my car, Used up 2 cans in the last 4days. at 3.30 a pop it ain't a cheap method...

Now if I could buy a pack of 24 or something, it would be great.

Aha, gotcha. I used Hammerite over the spray primer on my previous bike - beautiful finish!

Edit: Wouldn't the manufacturer be able to do you a better deal than a retailer?

Use this stuff and either brush it on or thin it down and use a spray gun. They do 1 litre tins too.

To be honest though, satin black 2-pack primer will do the job you want it to I think. Just get the right mask so you can handle it safely and job's a goodun. It'll chemically seal the rust in and it won't come back through :D

Acid,
Not to sure which bits your painting but have heard VERY good reports on the bits that Frost sells http://www.frost.co.uk
Think they did a right up on the NSRA board about the whole rust protection / paintwork thing. Did you ask on the MMA board as to what everyone else is using?

its just the big box section bits which hold the bumber on and any other removal metal parts. None of its visable, most of its well pitted. But it looks a lot better when I've stripped them down and painted them up.. Should protect it for a good few years.

having a look though there range now..

Cheers..
