Hey fellas.
As much as I'd like to ask the 'manly' men in here not to post something regarding sandpaper and bleach being the only masculine form of handcare, I doubt very much it'll have any impact :)

Anyway, I'm after a moisturiser for my hands, one that is either for the nails aswell, or one specifically just for hands and a seperate one for my nails. I have alopecia ariata, which, for those of you who don't know, is an incureable condition whereby my immune system attacks certain elements present in my hair follicles and nail beds. As mine is so severe, my cuticles are dry, cracked and not very appealing, and my nails are ridged, pocked and prone to splitting/tearing.

I'm looking for something to make them nice, as I have found in the past that moisturising definately makes a difference :) I've stopped biting and I'm filing my nails well to keep them looking as best I can, but I'd like some suggestions please.

Ceiling for the two products is around £25. Suggestions and experiences welcome.

I'll take a look at the e45 and the butter jobbies then. My hands are very calloused but not too rough. It's the nail beds and finger tips that really bug me.

Cheers :)

It might be that then yeah, but i never got this a few years ago, and its a pain if im honest especially if i forget to put any on (which is pretty often). It can get quite sore, apart from looking like rhino skin.

Yeah sounds like a skin irritation. I suggest using an unfragranced non-soap cleanser instead. And moisturise (maybe with Diprobase) afterwards :)
