Just a quickie.
What's the deal with those hand held speed gun things? Can they issue a ticket through the post from the reading, or does one need to be pulled over and personally issued a ticket?
I managed to go through a "speed trap" with a traffic car on the hard shoulder pointing a hand held device into the outside lane
.
I'm not massively worried, as I was doing an absolute maximum of 77MPH (Highest recorded speed on the Journey) on a NSL Dual carriageway according to the Sat Nav, which I understand is right on the borderline on them prosecuting or not(?), but you know how these things are. I'd rather know that I'm definitely not getting a ticket than spending the next two weeks dreading every time the post hits the floor mat...
I very rarely use Motorways/A Roads, so am not too clued up on how they work, so an "expert" opinion is much appreciated
.
Sort of annoying as the woman seemed to completely ignore the Mustang in Front that was going a fair bit quicker than me and pointed it directly at my car (or so I've been told by my passenger)
