Last time I flew, was with Virgin and I took one 'overnight' bag and a 'laptop' bag. Managed to stuff enough clothes to last me nearly 2 weeks in the 2. I always see women with a large handbag and a overhead bag so thought why not men too?

Take a water bottle and fill it up after security for water.

Pretty sure the 100ml limit applies to the container, not the contents, e.g. full 100ml bottle, fine, 1L bottle with 50ml in, not fine

I take it you can't just check the luggage directly onto your second flight, i.e. just drop the bag at your starting airport and have the luggage automatically put onto your Thailand flight at Gatwick?

A empty, purpose built container is fine. You are not allowed to take any liquids through security inside the larger container.

You should be fine. I tend to travel with 1 bag onboard but have never had an issue with cabin bag + laptop bag on any airline i've travelled on.

I've flown with a cabin bag and my laptop backpack with no problems.

Have you tried asking the airline you're flying on if you're allowed to take a small handbag as well as 1 piece of hand luggage? They're probably better suited to knowing their own policy.

weird website says no unless you have upfront or an extra legroom seat.
My GF did it last time and they didn't question it :S

maybe it depends on the flight though usually to and from switzerland the plane has 6-12+ seats free anyway

Go to Boots of you want good value drinks and snacks at an airport.

Why buy snacks at an airport? you can take your own through security anyway and it's probably anywhere up to 5x cheaper at a supermarket

you could take a bunch of bigmacs with you if you really wanted, as long as they are in a container.

No, it's not for "womens" it's for everyone. 1 item of hand-luggage only with Easyjet.

I believe they would allow a a small purse and a bag, but not a large handbag.

Ryanair don't ever actually weigh your hand luggage in my experience, they only weigh suitcases that you're checking in.

This has happened to me a few times, also ruining my plans of quick escapes from airports once through migration.

Nobody can answer the OPs question until we know who he's flying with, from where and to where. The whole conversation is rather redundant until we know specifics.

And agreed on water bottles. We always take a bottle of water, drink as much as you can before security

p) then empty it. Go through and then fill it up at water fountains. There's more water fountains than there used to be although they're not always easy to find.

if it's easyjet then it's 1 bag and 1 bag only. however it needs to have a handle or a strap to be considered a bag so laptop sleeves, etc are fine. as they don't have a handle on them or a strap.

Last time I flew I nearly got caught out with my hand luggage, they have a basket type of thing as you go to board the plane, if the bag doesn't fit in it, you can't take it on. I was lucky as mine only just fit. There were a few people who looked like they were having a mare redistributing stuff amongst their bags, trying to make them fit.
