Handbrake wont work.

Had a vid needed converting, went to grab Handbrake, dwonloaded and appeared to install fine, but as soon as I go to open it, I get the Windows message immediatly saying that it has stopped working..looking for a solution etc etc..then that window just closes to nothing, tried 2 downloads and installs..same thing....any ideas?

if your converting vob to avi you can use autogk
unless you really want to use handbrake.
might worth using something like revo uninstaller to remove all left overs.

CHeers guys, will look into the other one, just seems odd that it flat out refuses to even try and load.

If you look through event viewer in adminstrative tools it will tell you the error code.
Tried compatibility mode?

This error used to be cause by saving crop values in an encoding preset, just flat out refused to start and it seems the devs dont really care enough to look at properly fixing it, the response being 'oh it works on mac or linux'

If you look in the handbrake website then there is some info on what files to remove to make it work.

What i do now is have my settings written down which i manually apply each time.
