Handheld Vacuum Recommendation?

We have a dyson V8 (of course about 6 months after buying the V8 the V10 comes out :p) and on max powa mode with the neat little small carpet head on it it'll last probably around 6/7 minutes constantly on, but usually for general mud/stick/carp on car mats the normal mode will do just fine. I get really annoyed with regular corded vacuums now though as a result which might be seen as a downside

Thank you for the suggestions, Dyson V6 is a bit posh.
I have one of these

It's really good. You can put it down and operate the hose, which is handy. Battery lasts ages - I've not managed to actually flatten it yet. It just sits on its charger whem not in use.

It's obviously no replacement for a mains powered vacuum, but then neither are any of the battery powered Dysons IMHO.

Thanks all for advice.

This looks good, price vs performance, I'm not expecting miracles just something which will get rid of light soiling. This looks like it will fit the bill. I shall give it a go.

i use that too

battery ran flat whilst it did my car, but it did last long enough to do the whole car, that was like 2 hours i think

bit noisy though

we have a dyson V6 animal (i think its animal) and its replaced our mille hoover ! i just dont like holding down the trigger, as my thumb rests on the housing and it hurts after a while, but its more powerful than my B&D

I dont know how mr dyson can say he is stopping producing the mains dyson hoover? Yeah a lot of people now a days has small houses, but also a lot of people has large houses aswel, where the runtime of a battery powered hoover just isn't long enough

I have the older version and I’ve been very happy with it. It’s actually easier to use than a Dyson handheld, as you’re not trying to get the vacuum itself (or a stiff pipe) into all the nooks and crannies in the car; the hose means you get a lot more flexibility.

Battery life is about 10mins, which is plenty to do the car.

Do downstairs one day up the next. I have the V10 and on medium which is fine for everything really you get around 20 mins constant use which is plenty tbh. On medium it’s about the same as the V6 on max.
