I've just bought a nice little bluetooth FM transmitter to play music through my car speakers and it can do phone calls as well.

My car stereo doesn't have bluetooth. So since it works by the transmitter being locked into an empty FM station, it occurred to me that there's the risk of my calls being heard by other people who might be scrolling through FM frequencies. So I don't know how safe it is for privacy.

It kind of puts me off using it for calls and maybe I should stick to using my S7 Edge with my old over the ear motorola bluetooth hands free device. Thoughts?

Not used an FM transmitter in years, but from what i recall the range is really small. If you're moving in a car, i would think the risk is very low of someone picking up your call on their radios.

If you have an aux input on the stereo, you could try something like "Kinivo BTC450 Bluetooth Hands Free Car Receiver for cars with Aux input jack" from the rainforest site.
