My K850i is slightly tempramental (Dpad issues) but not to the point where I would be happy to be without it for weeks waiting for a repair.

I would however quite welcome the idea of having an exchange for a new or "recon" handset like I can do through O2 for my wifes handsets.

I'm on Voda but bought from P4U, I know a colleague who bought from Voda has had hers switched out a few times, am I likely to receive the same service or will I be redirected to P4U do you think?

BTW no 4U bashing, they're my number 1 customer at work hence why I bought from them lol!

Hi there matt100,

If you'd bought the phone from Vodafone directly we'd certainly get any manufacturing fault rectified through a repair if you'd had the phone for more than fourteen days. In the event that the fault couldn't be repaired then usually we'd exchange with a reconditioned phone.

However, as you bought the phone from Phones 4u you'll need to return it to them to get the fault rectified.

I'm not too sure what their policy/process is but from past experience they'll usually send it away for a repair and if it's a fairly straightforward fix you'll get it back in about seven to ten working days.

The best thing to do would be to visit the Phones 4u store you got it from, explain the problem with the phone and see what they can do for you.

Hope this helps and all the best.
