Hello,

my upgrade is due and I was wondering if any of you mobile experts could let me know of any nice new phones out there.

I have always used Nokia so I think I would prefere to stay with them, and my contract is with T-Mobile.

I have been using the Nokia 6230 for the past 13 months,

Does the job for me, however I don't like the central *push* button. I was speaking to the dude at CFW and he was saying that I should consider the updated model 6230i

This looks like it has corrected the annoying central push button issue and also has a improved camera. I do use the camera and video quite a bit, and the bluetooth feature for sending stuff backwards and forwards from my PC.

I think I can possibly get this as a free upgrade?

So any advice on whats hot and whats not? At this point the easy route appears to be just grabbing the newer 6230i, but I wondered if anyone knew of any issues with this model?

or care to throw any new phones in there?

thanks in advance

had it for 9 months its a solid phone, but there are far better phones out now. Look at SE's latest range and the samsung d600

No real issues with the 6230i other than it's a fair bit slower and less responsive than the 6230 (different screen means much more processing required), although in fairness it's not slow compared to the compention.

I would also look at the N70 if it was me and I wanted to stay with Nokia, or the SE k750i, W800i or Samsung D600 if you're willing to change manufacturers.

I went from the 6230 to the 6230i after owning nothing but Nokias before... It is not recommended, because its just boring basically, it doesnt seem like an upgrade, its not as good as the phones out now, K750i, W800i, D500, D600 are all much much better phones.

It's great for texting, but I got rid of mine 6 months into my new contract and got a W800i, as I was bored of the 6230i.
