Handwriting

It's just occured to me how bad my handwriting is. I've always known it was bad but now it's got beyond bad and I can barely even read it myself. I've tried everything from writing slow and taking my time to writing fast but nothing helps. I've even tried every pen going but it still looks like a 5 year olds first attempts. Has anyone got any advice for me on how I can improve it? I'd post a sample but i'm actually ashamed of it so won't.

Thanks for the replies. My main problem is that every letter turns out a different size. It just looks so child like. Only some of my letters get joined up. The main problem is that i've just started uni and i'm taking a lot of notes which really can't be done slowly. I'll see if I can scan a page of my handwriting in.

I just think it is so bad. I dread having to write something down for someone. Even envelopes that I send away look really bad. I'm worried that it really lets me down in exams due to the amount that I have to write and the lack of patience some markers might have.
