Hi guys,

I'm wondering if the plasterboard in my room will hold roughly 12KG.
I have a dartboard and surround (wooden) that I want to hang amounting to that weight.
Are there special items I should use in the hanging process of can I just put 2 screws in an hope for the best?

I'm not sure on the depth of the plasterboard.

Thanks a lot,
Em

The cabinet/surround/board brand new? It should have come with plugs for the screws..

If not, you'll need rawl plugs.

I've personally used these 'butterfly' fittings throughout my plasterboard-lined flat. (Far right in the photo). They work perfectly!

The plasterboard will most likely be screwed to a wooden stud work frame, provided you get one of your fixings into this studwork you can simply then just use an Ezze for the other.

Im going to use the middle variety.
Gotta drill an 8mm hole first. time to get dust everywhere lol

Thats it up!

hanging fine, doesn't look like it will fall lol

Thanks for the help !

Test it by doing 20 pull ups on it.

I am of course kidding and if you do this and cause yourself an injury or incur damage to said wall or dart board, I will not be held responsible...... !

The far right ones work great - but I would say even the middle one would suffice for what he requires :p

just get someone to hold the stuff upto the wall, then as hard as you can, throw the darts into it, that should hold it up for a while.

Hope that helps.
