Ahoy,
A friend has just moved in to a new pad and wants to convert the back part of his garage into an office. It's already bricked off, damp proofing we're ok with but ideally he wants to plasterboard the walls.
I'm comfortable with hanging plasterboard on batten, gaps, adhesives and joining boards but I'm not 100% up on how you handle windows and door frames. The window is recessed by a brick's depth, as is the door frame.
Do I plasterboard the flat wall to the edge, attached to a batten on the window recess edge? What do I do with the recessed edges?
I suppose the easier question is how do I do 90 degree joins with plasterboard.
I'm happy to take on any task and will redo until its spot on, but would like to be properly informed before I take the job on.
Ta in advance.
