Hangover Cures

Fat
sugar
salt
water
carbs
caffeine

The basic things you need to correct your body after a heavy session.
You blood sugar levels will be low so you need sugar for instant boost and carbs for longer lasting affects.
You need salt as you have wasted loads sweating and peeing.
Water due to dehydration
Fat as your stomach HP will now be very high it's why people get a dodgy stomach.
Caffeine as you haven't slept properly

How will your blood sugar levels be low? All the spirits/VKs/beers etc are loaded with sugar. I'm not saying you're wrong but I'd like an explanation.

For me:

- Plenty of water before you sleep and in the morning.
- Plenty of fruit/food on waking up. Vitamin C is essential in the breaking down of alcohol so drink plenty of fruit juice.
- AVOID paracetamol/caffeine as it puts more strain on the liver which is already struggling to recover.
- Light exercise, run early afternoon. Probably not the best idea to put your body through intense stress first thing in the morning.
- Alternatively, get up and go for a gentle walk.

Hangovers are also caused because you don't sleep properly when intoxicated and there's not much you can do to avoid that other than go back to bed :D

I see Urm, doesn't sound good to me tbh, I think I'd hurl if I did so much as saw another pint of Guinness or shot of Russian Standard for the next week or so at least. :( I was thinking of getting some fresh air, drinking some water and hoping my car hasn't been clamped where I left it. :p

Just grab a cold beer from the fridge and down it, you'll be fine in no time, I'm nursing a hangover with an ice cold pint of Carlsberg right now.
