I've had a 19" Hanns G monitor for about a year and have recently noticed that when the room is quiet, I can hear a buzzing coming from the screen.
Some Googling leads me to believe that the sound is coming from the backlight inverter and it says some monitors are prone to it.
Changing my brightness up from 0 to 50 (via OSD) almost stops the buzz and the higher I go, the better it is but I like my monitor with a brightness of 0. I can use Nvidia control panel to adjust the brightness in windows but the image isn't satisfactory.
Has anyone returned a monitor under RMA for something like this? Is there anything I can do to alleviate the problem? If I get a replacement is it likely to have the same buzz?
Thanks
Oops, was meant to go in monitors section!
