has anyone got any experience with Hanns-G monitor RMA in the UK?

i have filled in there RMA online form but i have heard nothing back for 10+ working days

thanks

hannsg[AT]repairtech.co.uk is the email address I used, have a try.

I had my monitor picked on the 18th of June, got it back 5th of July. That's like what 3 weeks?

It did still have a fault with it and had to be sent back though. Got repaired in the end.

i think im gonna try the retailer first and then try repairtech as they dont seem the most competent of companies :p

Oh yeah that'd be better. However they might just send it to repairtech anyway :P

I only had to use them as the monitor was over 2 years old at the time, doubt the retailer wanted to know about it at all.

I have nowt good to say about repairetech! I had to complain to Iiyama in holland in theend and with 5UB on here I got a new 27" one from Iiyama direct. I hope all goes well but my experience is I hope my monitor lasts more than 3 years!

well now just posting in this thread my monitor has started playing up and wouldn't switch on... :(

hope it's a one off.

Hanns-g have 3 years on site swap warranty, as advertised on their site (http://www.hannsg.com/HannsGUserFil...ns-GEU-WarrantyCardLCDMonitor_ML_20070509.pdf) I know as I just had to return my 25" screen to them as they didn't have stock, after lots of complaining they're sending me a new unit. What that new unit is I don't know.

I went via Repairtech - which wasn't / isn't much fun. They're polite etc... and quick to reply but my argument with them / hannsg is that if you offer / advertise 3 years on site replacement then you expect them to come good on it and not have to send off my screen for repair which is merely a few months old bought via OCUK. If it was a very old screen, or as it states in the terms that I can request to have it repaired then fair enough, but I don't, just want a working screen!

right, i see, so they eventually agreed to a replacement?

and how long did all this take? as i dont know long long i can not have a monitor for

In that situation you should always contact the retailer as they are the ones responsible and that your contract is with.

But, like I said, it looks like everything ends up going through RepairTech.

It'll probably be less hassle to get the retailer to sort it out but the result will likely be the same.

I wasn't rushing, reported the fault before christmas, sent the screen off about 2 weeks ago then made a complaint last week as they needed to order parts. I have borrowed another screen so am in no rush.
