Ok i think ive got a huge problem now...
which im very sad about because im pretty poor i have no money to replace any of my parts..
i dont think any of my parts are faulty though but yet i keep getting locks up it always happens during gaming not when browsing the internet it happens in any game though it will just completely lock up
and i have to hard reboot sometimes i hear this crazy buzzing sound coming from the speakers during the cash and sometimes i hear nothing..
i have NOTHING overclocked i even down clocked my ram from 2400mhz to 2133 to see if that was that but nope...
everything is up to date with drivers even my bios i updates like 3 days ago and it just crashed again btw..:(

my specs
ryzen 5 1500x with XFR disabled and vcore is 1.3 was the max ive seen it so its 1.2-1.3 at 3500mhz (is this the problem? should be good right?)
ram crucial 8gb ddr4 2400mhz 2 chips of 4gb tried one chip etc.. nothing worked..
radeon rx 550 2gb video card stock
asus prime a320m-k motherboard
kingsting uv400 128gb ssd
Antec VP 400 watt psu ( checked voltges all are normal)

can some one please help me for a min and diagnose this problem i have my computer for 3 months its been doing it since day 1

what could it be?
i also checked my event log and i see cirital kernal power errors that it was shut down unsuspected

The critical kernal powers would be you doing a hard reboot.

Sure there are no other events in there? Driver failures can be warnings I think.

Have you tried without the gfx. Try a few games with the onboard gfx. Just to see?

I would run memtest, prime95 and some GPU load test to get more of an idea of what triggers it.

Where is pc from? Self build?

Keep cool. This forum will help you sort it.

no just kernal boot and kernal power errors also one error called event log also distrubutedCOM errors..
the thing is with prime95 i can run it fine last time i tried was like 3-4 hours long and it was fine i dont get it =/
it only happens ingame too its not my gpu cause i have had it replaced and it happened on my old card as well..
i reinstalled windows too btw didnt help
its also a self build
temperutes are fine its also running all stock
idk what to do tbh

If it's already passed other tests, as lnoton says, get some gfx benches or tools to load the GPU up - 1500X hasn't got onboard GFX so you can't try that. Can your hardware monitoring program also create logs ? Might help you see whats going on if you can read a log of what was happening.

Reload optimal defaults in BIOS until you've sussed out the problem too - just rules out a random settings change there.

Oh, sudden thought, was the RX550 new, a used one might have a mining BIOS on it that could maybe effect gaming.

the rx 550 was completely new it was sealed also in the bios everything is already on defaults lol since i dont overclock i left everything on auto and i think ive tried that before tho but i can try again i dont think it will help since everything is on auto thats the default and ive done it before =/ the thing is it usually crashes during the first part of the game like when entering a game usually then it happens i havent seen it happen MID GAME yet only during start up of games but it has happened in multiple games so its not the game it has happened in world of warcraft, diablo 3,brutal doom, path of exile thats the only games i play so all of them :(
also when it crashes 90% of the time i hear a buzzing noise coming from the speakers

The other thing to look at is the memory, I have a x370 Prime board currently and if you look in the thread for it a lot of us had issues with RAM that wasn't based on Samsung b-die

When i first built my PC I had corsair memory, and would get black screen crashes, sometimes it would restart others I had to turn the PSU off. Windows recorded kernel power issues. I originally wasted money replacing my PSU based on this and the RAM passing memtests but it continued. After replacing the memory with the 8 Pack memory it all went away. I would have a look on the QVL list and see if the memory you have is on it and if its rated at a lower speed (Some 2400 ram will only work at 2133 with Ryzen). If not do you know anyone with different memory you can try?

i already tried setting it to 2133 cause i read that as well that is the default i heard??
i am not tech savy at all maybe you can help me rly fast and have a quick look to see if my motherboard and ram works??
my ram is Crucial 4gb 2400mhz CT4G4DFS824A but 2 chips of these..
my motherboard Asus Prime a320m-k..
i think i tried looking for it before and couldnt find it but im not sure

Just had a quick look on my phone and it didn't look like is on it. But i was looking in tiny vision. It's the QVL for first gen ryzen

i know i couldnt find it either only one i can find is the 4gb one of crucial the last digit is different but it did start with CT4G4DFS821 the whole number is CT4G4DFS8213 but its not exactly the same...
idk do you think its my ram?? if it is why does my bios display crucial chip just fine with the right name and everything if it was supported wouldnt it boot into windows?
sometimes i can play for hours or even a day or 2 before it crashes but it always does the crash is random :( it happens every couple days :( always during gaming like i said any advise???

also i did a quick google (this is not me) but some one else does have my motherboard and my ram if it was compitable i dont think that dude would run it? http://valid.x86.fr/ubvy7i

I can't say it IS your RAM but your symptoms are very similar to what I had.
RAM that isn't on a QVL may work, and with Intel I never had any issues by Ryzen is very picky. It's got massively better with new bios (are you on the current one?) but still didn't like some sticks.

I would try and test it before considering spending money or ask your retailer if they will exchange it for a kit that is on the QVL or other people have a track record of working

well here is a guy with the same motherboard and ram as me http://valid.x86.fr/ubvy7i
also it is 1 digit off does it rly matter that much??
idk what to do my computer is just broken now
i dont know any one with ddr4 so if i want to see if its my ram id have to buy it:(

it just happened again.. i do notice it seems to happen mostly after a reboot or after i turn my pc on or after restart =/ i boot the game for first time then it itll just lock up its random too because after i restart again i can play but then like lets say a day later i want to go play again and then again lock up !! :( it just did it again so there is def something wrong man im scared i dont have any money to replace my parts

In the BIOS have you manually limited your voltage to 1.3? I take it you've tried reseting BIOS to defaults already?
yeah its on default and my ram is 1.2v its 2400mhz chip but i did set it as 1.2 DRAM Voltage Yeah =/
the only thing ive done in bios is i disabled core boost so no XFR cause it was making my cpu reach 1.5vcore so i disabled that so now its 1.25-1.3 as normal at 3500mhz ryzen 1500x its stock just without XFR boost..then i set my DRAM to 1.2v and thats all ive done the rest is on default or auto, bios is also updated

Sorry I don't know how the crucial numbering system works so cant say if its dramatically different or just a code for EU/NA for example.
one point is the cpu-z image is for a Bristol ridge chip not the summit ridge your ryzen CPU is so its not directly comparable.

As you stated you have had issues mainly at reboots/start ups have you every had the system start up then click off quickly and start again before you see the BIOS screen?
or do you ONLY have problems in/starting games?

the pc always start fine it always acts fine untill i boot up a game and then enter the game i will see then new game load game etc.. i will start game and as soon as i get in the game it self itll lockup it does this in every game randomely

I know you've said you've set default in the bios, but have you reset the bios by shorting the cmos reset pins or removed the battery and then tried runningit with the properly cleared bios. Have you also tried setting the memory timings manually and tried the mem with 1.35v. I'd also stop limiting cpu voltage and shove it on auto while testing.

What dose the screen show when it locks up/just before? do you have a normal image thats just forzen or dose it look strange?
do you have an old GPU you can try as it would be much simpler to rule out the GPU by dropping any in thats know good and looping a benchmark for a while.

my mem is rated for 1.2 tho should i set it as 1.35?? also my mobo isnt allowed to overclock lol i think because there is no overclock settings so i cant even set the timings of the ram? not that i can find i can only set the mhz and the voltages of the memory
but i will try setting the vcore to auto and see if that fixes it i dont think so though i will also try to reset bios like that ill report back if its fixed or not but i can take a day or 2 before it happens again tho
