Bit of a random post, and some people will not be bothered about reading, but thought it was worth a share anyway.

I've had my Asus Xonar Xense for just under 3 years now, not needed to change due to awesome sound quality etc, but recently found my Sennheiser PC350 ear pads were wearing a bit and wanted a replacement. I forgot about it until today and started doing some googling, and came across a "bass" mod randomly.

Thought what the hell and did the mod - and wow, transformed what were already good headphones into extremely good headphones! Listening to some music now to get the full experience but have to wonder why I didn't do this mod earlier.

Anyway, still searching for ear pad replacements :(.

What was the mod?

I think you drill a hole in the outer casing, IIRC. Improves the bass response. Not the best idea though, if they are new. Doing that would void the warranty. I remember some buy did that not long after he bought them. A few months later, they broke. Makes the 2 year warranty rather useless.
