Went to see this yesteday with the squids (3 and 5) and they seemed to enjoy it, I would say it's a little long and there aren't really that many "laugh out loud" moments but all in all it was pretty entertaining.

The vocalisations by Robin Williams were obviously the best bit and to be honest penguins are pretty funny at the best of times, when they start singing and dancing and clapping the wings it does raise a :D

My rating 7 out of 10

Ah thats good that the kids liked it :)

Now im not laying into the film, but did anyone who goes to the cinema regularly start to get really ticked off with that Happy Feet advert that comes just before the main film you went to see, argh!!

It drove me mad! :p

Haha, but i love Robin Williams, so maybe i'll pop along to it sometime :)

we watched it this weekend - im not really sure what i made of it
it was cute and fluffy and very well animated - but the plot was a bit strange and the middle (that i presumed was the end) made me sob like a child

i know its typical kiddy film niceness (i'm probably 10 years to old to go and see it without a kid in tow) but it seemed a really shallow plot (the 'nice but odd' guy gets the girl - even if he openly admits that he doesn't deserve her) and where they could have ended the film and made a valid point about the state of the environment and how we're messing up our planet and in the process shocking a few kids into turning their tvs off stand-by - they ruined it with a sickly sweet ending that almost seemed to come out of no where

bah! 6/10

I really wanna go see this. I love penguins and animated movies so I think I'll like it. Will probably get my bf to take me later on in the week :)

I really want to go and see this as well. :D

Robin Williams is a legend and I can't wait to hear some cracking voice overs from the legend that is.

I really wanted to see it until I read that :(. It wouldn't surprise me if it was more geared at kids than most animated movies, since there has been so much merchandising, but I'll be a little disappointed if it is.

Vixen I think you'd enjoy it, good clean fun to be honest and pretty funny, the ending is a little weird but just go with the attitude to be entertained and you'll have a gas.

I watched this last night, was pretty cool the little homeboy type penguins rocked, and robin williams was great.

The story was a bit far fetched in some ways - but generally it was pretty good, the animations were cool too - really liked the way they did the killer whales looked cool.
