Hi all,
Got a strange one here. I have just splashed out on upgrading to a new system and so have spent a bit of wonga on my gear.
I had an X1950XTX which was sweet as a nut but when I put it up against my friends "BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC2 640MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)" monster card using 3dmark06 it was a 2k plus points behind(all over system parts exactly the same). I traded in my XtX for the GTS however I decided to take the plunge and stop dual booting and use Vista as my main program however when it comes to watching films on my PC, the quality does not seem to be as good and not as sharp as ny XtX. I also find when playing BF2142 it can get pretty choppy which it didn't do on my XTX. I have downloaded the latest drivers for my card from Nvida and I am using windows media classic as some of my films are HD but even they don't seem as crisp.
My point is I think I have tried everything and I am not sure if the problems is
1. My Drivers for the card.
2. Vista.
3. Problems with my card.
Anyone else having problems like this?
Sorry for the length of this mail.
My system is
Asus Striker extreme motherboard
2 gig of corsair dominator mem.
2.13 Dual core cpu (slightly clocked)
22inc Samsung 226BW.
Many thanks.
