Overview

Saint Piran's Day, or the Feast of Saint Piran, is the national day of Cornwall, held on 5 March every year. The day is named after one of the patron saints of Cornwall, Saint Piran, who is also the patron saint of tin miners. Wikipedia

Happy St Piran's day , we get a free pasty at work ( mines vegan did I ever tell you I'm .......)

Well done to all of us who live in the nice sticky out bit in the south west, it's nice to be proud of where you live, to surf after work and to be surrounded by beauty.

I can't think of anywhere else I would rather be but maybe you can , Wales , Scotland, coastal?
Over tourism is the downside in some places here you might say , low wages , second homes , unaffordable housing for the young

My take is you exist upcountry but live down here , just saying :p

The Irish tied him to a mill-stone, rolled it over the edge of a cliff into a stormy sea, which immediately became calm, and the saint floated safely over the water to land upon the sandy beach of Perranzabuloe in Cornwall. His first disciples are said to have been a badger, a fox, and a bear.

Can't argue with a free pasty.

And after all that you managed to post without a massive scenic picture of somewhere in Cornwall :D

Happy St Piran's day. I would eat a Cornish pastry to celebrate, but am suffering from the cannot keep things down bug :(
