Happy VM Broadband users

Had superb service since 2000. I think on the whole Blueyonder (atleast) are very good. I think any problems which do occur are sometimes down to:

People posting screenshots from speedtest.net with "OMGZOR I'M GETTING 200K FROM MY 20MB CONNECTION." - seriously...stop.

Hardware at the users end router/NIC/modem

Incorrect settings of the hardware

Of course VM do have problems...but that's to be expected.

just moved house - ditched adsl as it was seriously crap

gettin 20 meg vm along with free phone calls and the full tv package with a decent monthly cost.

If you look at ADSL and Cable, adsl will never beat cable, it has poor signal quality etcetc and still relies on our victorian phone lines. Cable (from my understanding) is all optical goodness.

My wireless at home (108meg netgear router) was only capapble of 1500 k a second and hence PLUG YOUR MODEMS INTO YOUR PC's.

..

cant wait at the mo.

I'm a very happy VM customer. I've been with them since the Nynex days and have never considered changing. Just recieved my 20 mb upgrade and I'm a happy bunny

Hopefully I'll get my Surfboard 3100 modem replaced soon as it can't deal with the 20 Mb though not in a hurry due to the complaints about speeds.

Mate, that SB3100 couldnt even deal with 10meg let alone 20.... you will see a huge difference on a new modem. Your about a year behind on the hardware front for your speeds and hardware.

V. Happy with Telewest/Virgin for many many years.

Get 20MB on my 20MB BB, get a phone line with free weekend and evening calls, I have a V+ box with all the non premium channels and I only pay £45pm

In all I think that there are problems with the service but I am lucky enough not to be one of them.
