I have a sata hard disk and it does not display when i boot into windows! Although it is viewed within the bios it jus does not display! I'm totally confused! please help:)

its not a new hard disk though. its half full! Thing is i see other partitions but it only gives me the option to format. i think thats because those are the linux partitions when i try to access them through windows.

I can access the other hard disk though (ide) and obviously using the windows hard disk but not the sata hard disk. The drives are also installed for it so i am really not sure whats going on. As i say its displayed in the bios.

What service packs are you running?
service pack 2

in device manager i see 3 hard disks.

the 3 hard disks are all 80gig. I see the operating system clearly. I see the backup hard disk also. Then there is another hard disk which is partitioned F,G,I @ 76gig but i cannot access the disk because it asks me 'do want to format'

I'm worried i got so much stuff on that hard disk and i cant imagine its really wanting me to format. Is this a windows bug;):\

What about the disc it can't see?

You're not answer any of our questions clearly.. What exactly shows up in disk management for THIS DISK. Not the one with OS on. What partitions and what type of filesystem does it show exactly?

I will get you guys a screenshot sorry by the time i go home im frazzled. This evening i will show you a screenshot of my disk management.
