We have a PC which restarted on Friday then wouldn't boot into windows and said something along the lines of "disk read error" , after turning PC off and disconnecting / reconnecting the drive I managed to get into windows

The drive is a 150GB WD Raptor - downloaded the WD diagnostics utility which found no errors and did a full scan using HDtune, and also no errors

Event log shows a fair few of these errors :
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk0\D during a paging operation.

The device, \Device\Harddisk0\D, has a bad block

The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur.

A parity error was detected on \Device\Ide\IdePort2.

The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk0\D
And a previous crash a bit before had this code :
Error code 10000050, parameter1 e4f6d0ac, parameter2 00000000, parameter3 bf8b6188, parameter4 00000001.

So to me looks like there is definetely an issue with the HD - is there any other diagnostics I can run?

What's the best software to use to make a complete image so I can restore fully on a new disk? As the drive is working at present and would prefer not having to install everything again!

Imaging worked perfectly ! Didn't take more than about 15 mins either.

How do I prove to WD that the drive is faulty? All diagnostics I've run didn't bring up any errors
