Hard dive access

Hi, just reinstalled vista there (Sammy F1 320), and i have a sammy F1 1TB backup drive in my system aswell this is, i usually install all my programs on the backup drive but everytime i get half way through installations of stuff (itunes/office etc) i get a notification that my B:\ access denied.

Anyone got any thoughts on this.?

I only had this once in Win7 and what I did was to turn off UAC then reboot
and all was well.
