hard drive and dvd

this is my first post here so please forgive any mistakes. i am building my first computer and my question is this.
i have a corsair vx 550w atx power supply from overclockers, i believe i am able to connect 2 hard drives and a DVD re writer on the one cable is this correct. thanks

depends on how many sata power connectors there are on one cable, shouldnt be a problem with it tbh

Yeah, if there are enough sata cables on one cable then its all good

is there just one cable?
if so, yeah, 2 HDDs and 1 dvd drive, or the other way round

just checked 2 cables with 3 connectors on each.

all works fine, just power up
