I wasnt to sure what to call the title tbh. My problem is that I got a new SSD and I formatted my old hard drive and intend to use it for games etc. At the moment im reinstalling my games but im wondering how can I get the saved files working with the game? For example Iv crysis 2 installed but how can i get the saved files working with it? The dont show up (or doesnt give you an option) in the load game at the menu of crysis 2

Ill be installing other games like witcher 2 so id like to know how can I get the game saved files going with the game

So the saved files were on your hard drive before? If you've formatted it then you've lost them I'm afraid :(

Unless you backed them up somewhere?

So have you located the saved games folder somewhere in the game files? It'll be in a different place for each game - some games save them in 'my documents' [C:\Users\USERNAME\]

What I did was before the format was back up the files which were originally in the documents folder, so I know for a fact they were from the documents folder

Iv now put the saved games in the SSD user saved games folder but I was hoping to put them in the hard drive so I dont have to use up the vital space in the ssd

Is that possible ?

I know when I started up crysis 2 first I found its game saved folder in the SSD but iv that game saved in the hard drive

I'm fairly sure it's possible, as I know people have installed Steam on their SSD, then installed some Steam games on an HDD but linking the folder somehow. Unfortunately I don't know how you do it. It might be best to go to the storage section or even games section. I'll take a look to see what I can find too.

save files wont take up anything, there so tiny, just re-install crysis 2 (click custom) location/make new folder on storage hdd and install to that, then put your save files in your save folder on your ssd

when the saved files also have mods, D11 updates and updates in general, they can be very large

Crysis 2 folder on its own was 39mb

How big is your SSD? If its a bit small, it might be best just to install the games on the hard drive? Of course this might seem silly but the system will still be running off the SSD and still be fast - just an idea.

You will probably get more help in the PC Games forum.
I found different games store saved files in documents, game installation folder, program/program86 under either the game or distributers name Origin,EA, Ubisoft, etc. Just look in the folders and see where they are located. Also found some of my games i was able to copy to storage or ssd, try to play game and let it set new registry, saved time re-installing.
I do know Crysis 2 has a sub- folder in the main folder for mods.
Sorry i can`t be of any more help.
