On PC #1, I did a clone of my failing hard drive using Acronis True Image. The drive is working fine, except for networking issues.
Is this something to do with the name of the hard drive?
If I am on PC #2, under Microsoft Windows Network...Mshome I cannot see PC #1, but I could before. Where I had created a networked link (correct term?), if I click that link now I get this message popup:
\\Repair-server\c is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. etc.
Does this give a clue? What is it looking for? Should the hard drive label be Repair-server or is that just the computer name?
Also, if I am on PC #1, when I click on Microsoft Windows Network...Mshome I get this message:
Mshome is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resoureces. etc...The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available.
Thanks,
Jon
