Hard Drive Clean Up

Can anyone recommend a free program that i can use to explorer and clear out some of the old rubbish on my hard drive.

I have a 20 gig partition with Windows Vista installed, at first a had quite a bit of spare space but now i'm down to under 2 gig.

I have a separate partition for installing programs, so it must me just general crap that it using the space now.

turn off system restore
turn off hibernation (to do this, winkey + r = run, type in powercfg -H off, press enter)
use 'disk cleanup tool' -it's part of windows, that should have a fair amount to clean up (including the hibernation file)
download and install ccleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds/downloading-slim

^All very good advice.

If you've recently installed Service Pack 1 for Vista (or will be soon), click Start, type 'Vsp1cln' without the quotes, and press Enter. Hit Y in the command prompt window, and you'll get about 1GB back. You will, however, lose the ability to uninstall SP1, although there shouldn't be any need to do that anyway.
