Hard drive crashing

jus set up new system, booted up fine, went to reboot and it would boot up, crashes when it tries to load windows, even tried it in safe mode, but as soon as you click anythin on the 'was not closed properly' dos menu, it crashes, ive also tried it with another one of my hard drives which works fine an its having a similar problem...

spec is:

dfi lanparty ut nf590 sli-m2rg
amd 64 dual core 4200+

and its an IDE hard drive im attempting to run.. anyone got any ideas to waht could be wrong?

Have you tried the HDD in another machine? Could just be a dying drive.

It could be faulty ram. Try booting with just one stick of ram at a time.

yup

i grabbed my sata drive tried that, works fine, so gonna do a fresh windows install onto there until i get paid next month an get raptors
