Hard drive formatting

I currently have two hard drives (C and D). Windows is on C and games and applications on D. If I put my windows XP CD in and reformat drive C and reinstall Windows on it would my PC still run all the programs on drive D without reinstalling them?

Depends on the application. Most games will work and some applications will but some won't. Stuff like MS Office is a prime example of an application that will need to be reinstalled, but others like mIRC will work fine.

In short, try it and see. If it works, great, if not, just reinstall it.

Mainly Outlook but thats not a problem now as i've backed up my emails. I don't have anything important to loose. If all goes wrong i'll just have to reinstall I spose.
