Hi,

Need some help please. Over the last few days i have notice my "Seagate Barracuda LP 1.5TB SATA-II 32MB Cache"
Making a horrible clucking noise when ever i load something up from the drive, so would it be safe to say my drive is on it's way out?.

I got the drive from here back on the 10th of november last year. Can i return it back to Overclockers and get a new drive or not?.

Or

Is there away i can save my drive or not?.

Thanks

ive downloaded Seagates diagnostics tools and run SMART and that came back saying it passed!.
This morning it aint clucking as bad as it was last night but still slightly clucking!. I've rung OCuk
this morning and they said they RMA it (thank you) but since it ain't as bad as last night and passed
the SMART test does this mean my drive is ok or not?

Well its upto you. A drive sounding "Clunky" isnt alwasy the sound of it dieing.

It maybe spinning down which is common on Windows 7. Here are some sounds which should be concerning you:

Id make regular backups and remeber if you send it to OCuk and they find no fault they will charge you a fee for the privalidge.
