hard drive just died.

so the harddrive on my wifes pc just died.

i think it was just the drive with windows on it, and she has a second drive with her games and files

if i put a new drive in and reinstall vista will her files be on the second drive? or will vista try to wipe the second drive before i can access it?

any help appreciated

The second drive will be fine. To be extra double safe, Disconnect the second drive.

Yeah I echo that, only plug the second hard disk in when you have the OS instlled again. You will hten be able to access the files on that drive just fine
