just finished putting my system together, i notice i am hearing the noise of the hard drive seeking etc through the speaker on my monitor(Iiyama ProLite E2410HDSD 24") its connected to the onboard sound card on a Asus sabertooth x58 board. Is there anything i can do to get rid of the interference noise through the monitors speakers? Or is this just what i have to deal with when using onboard soundcard? Speakers will follow at the end of the month, but im wondering will i get the same noise through another set of speakers connected

What makes you think it is your hard drive seek noise? It is probably signal interference. Built-in monitor speakers aren't generally very good and neither or onboard sound cards!

I know the sound you speak of - and it's the typical joy of using either a cheap soundcard or onboard sound.

I would get a seperate good quality soundcard
