Hi I have a preinstalled Vista Business machine.
Spec: q600, 4 GB ram,
400 GB SATA WD hard drive,
Intel DG33FB mobo.

Now I am trying to install Vista 64 bit however the hard drive isn’t detected when I run the disk, its the same when I try use a XP disc, after the setup copies all the files, it doesn’t detect the hard drive at all, as if its not there

Now I have tried changing the SATA cables, Tried other hard drives, still same problem:S I have even tried running a hard drive Diagnostic program, tells me there’s nothing there.

However when I go in The BIOS it can see the hard drive in there and within the already installed Windows Vista its fine.

I have also updated the BIOS. Same problem,

Any ideas plz? I'm really stuck:(:o

That was a quick reply. I have just changed the SATA ports to IDE.
Thank you. It works now..I was going beserk for the past few hours.
