Hi guys,

Well I have had my PC on Vista and XP dual boot. Noe I removed XP as I no longer need it and want HD space back, So I formatted the drive on xp setup cd.

Now I tried using Vista hard drive manager to join the two parts again, and the option is greyed out and I cant extend the vista partition.,..

Anyone know how to do this what programs work on Vista?

Thanks!

I take it that you want to extend the vista partition into the space that you have just freed up?

PartitionMagic will do what you want. It is what I use to play around with partition and I've never had a problem with it. There might be some free tools around but I don't know what they are.

Yes I think you might be right.

If you boot up with the PM8 CD, you should then be able to extend that partition. It then shouldn't matter what OS is installed on the disk.

I'm obviousley not thinking about my answers today. Too much beer over the weekend....
