Hi,

My work PC is about to be reformatted and have Windows 7 installed. I've backed up my work docs, but I'd also like to back up my iPhone backup on iTunes. Any idea how I do this?

I'd also like to carry across my bookmarks for Chrome and Firefox.

Computer is an HP desktop running XP pro.

Any advice would be much appreciated,

Cheers,

Fred

Most of these you talk of should be in the "Documents and Settings" folder. So as long as that's backed up and you haven't put the files anywhere else you should be ok.

firefox you can just go to backup then export to JSON, then import JSON file. no need for another program.

iphone backup you could try running sharepod on it. Just run the exe when not in itunes and you should be able to select and copy everything over to desktop

Ive not tried it on iphone but works on ipod nano, shuffle, classic and video

Yeah that was my first thought too, but it's 50GB!

Tbh as long as I have my iPhone backup, cookies and bookmarks I'm not bothered about the rest of the stuff. Most of it is my old music collection which has been rendered largely redundant by spotify and 8tracks.

you dont need xmarks just to make a backup, but it does so much more

once you use it, it always has a live copy of your bookmarks , which you can sync to any other computer if you need.

its a great app.
