Hard Drive / Setup / Capture Card

Hey,

I've recently bought a Black Magic Intensity Pro capture card (Not from OcUK), and when I am recording it is skipping frames. I have been told it's the speed of my hard drive.
If I buy 2 of these:

And have them setup to raid0 will the video record without lag/missing frames?

I'd then use my 320GB as a boot drive, and 1TB as storage.

Also upgrading to XP 64bit aswell, with another 4GB ram (8GB total).

You could get a ssd as a scratch disk

I have been told that RAID0 is the best option by BMD. I just wanted to know, would that handle the video both compressed and uncompressed?

Yeah it should work, but what raid controller are you using, that will make a big differnce

Intel® Matrix Storage Technology Support RAID 0,1,5,10

It's built onto my MB, Asus P5Q Pro Turbo.

That controller will be fine, with those disks I dont think you should have any problems
