hard drive upgrade

Hi im about to upgrade my laptop hard drive, i was going to get a 320 gb wd black but ive just had a look at the hd in my samsung r40 and its a

Fujitsu MHV2120AH 120GB 2.5 inch Hard Disk Drive - 5400rpm ATA100 8MB

im shocked to find out its not a sata.

What are my options can i get a ide-sata converter or do i have to buy another ide.

The reason for upgrading was to speed it up as this hd is very slow.

also i didnt know to take the battery off when disconnecting and reconnecting the hard drive. doh

laptop hard drives tend to be quite a tight fit, I don't think there would be room for a converter, best bet would likely be a 7200rpm ATA100 drive but I wouldn't expect too much of a difference in speed.

how old is the laptop tp have ata100
