Hard Drives from Apple

Do the Hard Drives that Apple sell as optional upgrades with there systems go through greater quality control than a OEM you'd buy from a retailer like OCUK?

Also do SSD on Apple have the issue slowing down and require TRIM like windows?

Na they just rebrand and charge you extra for the logo :-/

They're made by various manufacturers and carry their normal branding and a little apple on the label as well. They're the same.

Right i'll buy my own then.

What about SSD though? Do they suffer from the trim problem with OSX like they do on windows or does it. It's an issue with windows machines but ive never heard anything about it on macs.
