I switched on my PC this morning and it just hanged on the BIOS logo screen (which I do have switched off). After a minute or so it came up with an overclocking failed! Press F1 to enter setup, F2 to load default values message. I entered setup and noticed that no hard drives nor my DVD drive were detected, I saved changes and it rebooted. This time I got the 'reboot and select proper boot device' message, obvious reason for that.
After opening the case and just pushing the cables in a little bit, it booted up and detected all the hard drives, and CD drive. The BIOS had been reset in some way so the clock was set wrong.
I haven't changed any settings recently nor changed the overclock settings. The motherboard is an Asus P5B-E.
Does anyone know what could have caused this?
