Hoping someone can help me out here, im looking for a hard laptop case for me to take away with me, i work away all week and want to start taking my 17" laptop with me but i dont like the idea of it rolling around in the back of the van in a regular case mixed with tools, scaffold etc

Is there anything out there for a decent price, i was thinking around the £50 mark? its an asus 17" g75v so its quite bulky compared to some others...

I'm not so sure about a hard case for a 17" gaming laptop like the G75V - remember that you'll also need to squeeze your power brick, mouse and any other peripherals into the case, so I doubt a hard case would be sufficient.

I'd personally go for a backpack type bag as they offer plenty of protection and a wealth of pouches and compartments for other stuff. I bought the Port Designs Meribel backpack (which is at a bargain price of £20 on that big site that starts with an 'A' right now) for my similarly-sized Asus G751 and it's exceeded my expectations.

+1 to above ... go with a backpack I have just got one for my G751, I was a bit sad and got an ROG one and its a much better way to move a gaming laptop around.
