Hi

Looking for someone in the Kent area who can redo my hardline water cooled rig. At the moment it is full of fittings as I couldn’t get the angles and lengths right when bending myself.
I already have all the water cooling components (would maybe need new tubes) so would like someone to design a new loop.
with less fittings and more bends.
The loop would include the cpu and gpu.
I have
1 x 360mm rad
1 x 480mm rad
1 x ek xres 250 with built in pump
Xspc Fittings quite a few
Case Corsair 900d
Thanks

Hopefully you can find someone in here
I know there's hard line talent a plenty
Going by the water cooled gallery section
Even though he's too far away to help in person
@Vidar did his first hard-line recently so can probably give
Some help and advice if you should make another attempt
Would rather you found a fellow enthusiast who will help you out
For cost of fuel or couple of beers
Than some shop that rips the arse out of it

Shame I moved from gravesend I would have given u a hand. Post some pics up of what it's like at the moment

I moved from Bromley to Leeds 20 years ago so I cannot help I am afraid. Kent is a big county so do not give out your adress but narrow your location down a bit and you may get more responses.

Good idea
Since yeah I am in Kent but almost an hour's drive
From where they are
And no hard-line experience or would happily
Have helped them for free
Like I said browse the water cooled gallery section
And the build logs section
And pounce on any one who has their location showing :)
If it's near you
PS. That was me on Facebook in case it wasn't obvious

Do you expect to do the build alongside the volunteer or just drop off all the parts etc and agree on a design?
Good question mate
I didn't think to ask that
Just assumed they might want to see it done
So they might get an idea where they
We're going wrong for future reference
Probably didn't ask as that's just what I would do
Hoping one way or the other though you guys in ocuk can help them
Since I bigged you up on Facebook lol

Wouldn’t mind helping do it as it will help for future builds but obviously if I’m helping I won’t be expecting to pay full price for their services. If it’s just a drop off with a brief idea of what I want then I would expect to pay what the builder would want.
And never expected someone to volunteer I don’t mind paying for the help in money or treats

I wouldn't mind doing it and there wouldn't be a charge but at the same time that would mean it is a thing done over a few days, maybe even a week.

First step I would suggest is to post some pics of the current loop and some idea of what you don't like and what you might want. Also post what spare parts you have, what fittings, how much tubing if any, any tools you might have like a heat gun?

You're a star mate
I knew ocuk would come to the rescue :)

That’s great mate.
don’t mind popping over daily to help if it’s going to take a few days.

in terms of parts I’m going to order new tubing and I already have a heat gun and once I’ve got back in the loft I should have all the necessary parts.

In terms of what I want would be less fittings and more bends with the petg to give it a cleaner look.

Here’s a pic on Flickr of what it did look like before it died

Can I ask if you know what's wrong with it? Would be little point redoing all the water cooling if the PC itself doesn't work...

As for doing it, I work from home during the day so this would be something done pretty slowly across multiple evenings so if you want it done quick, I'm not your man. I also couldn't guarantee which days I would work on it.

Looks like this currently goes, out and up from the pump to the top radiator, then down into the cpu, down into the gpu, down into a bottom rad, then back to the pump. This is not ideal. The top rad is where you want the most heat so that loop order needs changing.

Personally, I would be doing pump down to the bottom rad, out and into the gpu from the bottom, out from the top of the gpu into the block whcih should be rotated 180 degrees so the inlet is on the right, then out of the cpu into the top rad at the front fitting, out the back fitting behind the fans (maybe) back to the pump at the top.

That way the gpu gets super cool water, the cpu gets slightly warmer (but very marginal given the flowrate) and the top rad dumps most of the heat outside the case.

Forgot to say I’ve got new parts coming and thanks for letting me know the correct flow order. if you’re happy doing it I can provide you with alcohol and a few bags of petrol
I’ve got a new board asus rampage vi encore
64GB Corsair dominator platinum rgb
I9 10940x
New ek block for the cpu using my 1080ti until I’ve got more pennies to upgrade the gpu
