ok so I'm going to build my pc into my desktop and watercool it.

I want to lay the gpu down, face up or face down makes no difference to me,and I saw some hard plastic pcie risers at various heights, would they work for a gpu ok vs a ribbon type cable?

I don't have anything else in the other pci slots so covering those is no problem.

there are different ones which are taller,i will have to pull mb out and measure with waterblock on how tall I need but thanks for the replies.

its an asus 1070 dual but I'm just going to put a cheapo gpu waterblock on it,then when its face down I can have a fan blowing over the face of it too to cool vrm's

its going to be built into the workbench.

yes I understood they were for servers but I wasnt 100% sure they would be ok with todays high spec gpu's so thought better to ask :)
