3rd rock...
Hallo :D

I thought it was now time I got myself an MP3 player and have begun my research.

I do however have a pet hate - preset EQ settings.

You know the deal, you press the EQ button and see this list: Pop, Rock, Classical, Live, Concert, Dance

I would like an MP3 player when you can adjust the EQ settings individually (like in Winamp!)

I have had a very hard time tracking one down with this capability and therefore I seek your help Overclockers!

Thanx loads :)

Budget? Storage size?

I got a Sumvision ICE 800 (4Gb + 2Gb SD) for £60 which does what you want, it's not the best for easy navigation or MP4 but the sound quality is great.

Thanks guys for helping me out here! Im checkin out all these players that you've mentioned.

The primary purpose of this MP3 player is to use in the car. I plan to get one of those FM transmitter thingies (and also see if any of these players you have all mentioned have one built into them already) so I can carry my tunes and send em to the car radio.

I still lug around a big case of CDs which is looking increasingly silly :p

Getting an EQ I can adjust individually will be great (dont worry I wont be doing it while driving!) for when I listen on headphones or hook the thing up to a hi-fi sys.

Im hoping these players mentioned only need Windows Explorer to transfer music as I find that the most effective.

As for size....as long as it holds about 200 songs its all good! :)
