Am installing Hardcano 13 into my case at the weekend. The Lian Li v1000 I have has a rear case fan with only a molex connector and no sensor output.

Will I be any better with a fan with RPM sensor or should I just leave it ?

Also in terms of sensor placement (see below extract from the manual) the CPU cooler looks like it isnt a particularly accurate place to put it. Any better ideas ?

Also if I plug my CPU fan into this (Arctic 64 Pro) won't I get a POST Error ?

I assume not but does it matter which fan goes to which number and same with the probes ?

Thanks

It only needs the RPM for the display, so it doesn't affect operation. A wide range of clever convertors are supplied.

It doesn't matter - the sensor is quite narrow and very thin. I usually tape it to the top of the heatsink plate on a freezer.

No, rpm pass-through cables are supplied, but I would leave the cpu fan controled by the motherboard if possible.

No, they are all the same.
