Hi all,
Having wanted a bike for years but never getting round to it I've finally decided to give cyclescheme a go.
I work quite a way from home so not fussed on a road bike and I would quite like to try some cross country riding and beginner trails. As such a hardtail seems a good option to me...
I go to the gym a fair bit and am thus fairly heavy so I am guessing that it's worth spending towards the top of the 1k budget for something that can take my weight?
One of the bikes I was looking at was the Boardman mtb team 29er 2017 as the idea of simple gearing appeals to me and the 850 price tag gives me room to buy semi decent safety accessories.
I'm a complete novice though and would happily take recommendations at around that price range.

Many thanks
