Hey all,

So upon decorating our 3rd bedroom we have dicoverd the plaster is a mess and about 30% is blown.

I have taken off the loose stuff and left the good bits, I have bought gypsum hardwall as the base and multi finish to skim.

My question is do i need to pva the edges of the existing good plaster to help the bond between new (hardwall) and old, or can i just slap on the hardwall and not worry?

If i can get the hang of it I may plan to skim the entire room , in which case should i pva the remaining walls not including the hardwall prio to skim?

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks

GM

Watered down PVA on everything thats old that you are putting new hardwall and/or plaster on. You can put plaster directly onto new semi dry hardwall.
