Is there any card I can purchase to give me proper quality dvd playback on my pc. I've got a Creative DXR3 decoder card which never worked properly since upgrading to XP.

Just wondered if there is anything new that I can purchase.

Cheers

Having a Nvidia 6 or 7 (or 8) gen card will do the trick with Purevideo, ATI also do a version of it called AVIVO on Later cards (x1000s I belive). which uses the graphics card to decode.

if you do not have a newer card, u can use software codecs like FFDShow MPEG-4. which although seem rather hard to set up, they are quite easy to do, and can get some good qualtiy images on it.

hope that helps.

// iave jsut found u a website http://www.cdrom-drivers.com/drivers/130/130712.htm
which should help you for your hardware dvd card..
