Hardware failure?

Hi everyone, I got a problem recently with my old 8800GTX gpu.
The computer crashed while I was playing CS, and the next thing it was the monitor started give me broken images, then restarted again.
After this, the gpu failed to produce a signal to the monitor. Is that a hardware failure? In which case I need to purchase a new one?

have you tried to reseat the card? if you are getting no signal during post after you tried that then it seems like a new card is needed

try cleaning it maybe its full of dust and overheating
