hi all, i hope someone can help. basically my pc wont boot, i turn it on and it hangs on the mobo splash screen for about 2 or 3 minuets, it seems to be doing its usual thing but very slowly. as i'm using a crucial m4 128gb i usually boot up in just a few seconds! anyway once the splash screen disapears i get "could not load boot mngr" message.
so i thought it was my ssd so i took it out and tried booting with my mechanical drive but same thing happens.
so to cut a long story short i have now disconectted everything and have only the keyboard plugged in and one monitor connected to the mobo and one stick of ram.
but still it hangs on the splash screen for 2 or 3 minuets, so im now thinking it might be cpu or motherboard.
what do you guys think?

asrock extreme 4 gen 3
intel i5 2500k
corsair vengence x2 4gig
crucial m4 128gb ssd
750 gb hd
nvidia 560 ti sli

if anybodys got any ideas as to the cause of the problem i would be really gratefull !

yes ive flashed the bios but even in the bios it takes like 5 seconds for the key strokes to respond. to eliminate disk failure they are disconected.
still get unable to load boot mngr, obviously because no drive installed but i also got this when they where in.
i havent tried to reinstall windows, will give it a shot now.

if its running so slowly on the splash screen and in the bios, wouldnt reinstalling windows take forever also?
i just dont get it. it was running fine 4 hours earlier. i havent installed anything new software or hardware related in weeks.

Tried takign the chip out for 10 minutes and resitting? I've had something similar before, and it was as simple as this to resolve. I had the same problem, using the PC in the morning, went shopping, came home and turned it on and it wouldn't boot!

ok, i reset the bios again but this time just left it for 20 mins as i wasnt sure if it was actually doing anything or not. when i came back the bios was responding as it should. then set the ssd as the boot drive, restarted and boom, working !
panic over, phew.
thanks for the help and suggestions everyone.
